Written byFerdous Saeed

The Egyptian national football team is ramping up its preparations for the highly anticipated opening match in the 2026 World Cup. The “Pharaohs” will hold their main training session tonight at the “Gonzaga” Stadium at 10 PM Cairo time.

The coaching staff, led by twins Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan, scheduled the training at this specific time to align perfectly with the official kickoff of Egypt’s match against Belgium on June 15. This strategic decision aims to help players adjust their biological clocks and adapt to the physical and temporal conditions of the upcoming match.

During these training sessions, head coach Hossam Hassan is focusing on instilling tactical and strategic aspects in his players while maintaining a high level of concentration within the camp. The coaching staff recognizes that achieving a positive result against the “Red Devils” (the Belgian national team) will be crucial for advancing to the knockout stages and fulfilling the aspirations of Egyptian fans.

Egypt will open its World Cup campaign with a match against Belgium next Monday, with kickoff set for 10 PM Cairo time. Following this, the Pharaohs will face New Zealand in their second group match and conclude group play against Iran.
