Brighton Makes £30m Bid for Tottenham’s Luka Vuskovic Amid Rising Interest
Tottenham Hotspur has reportedly received a £30 million offer from Brighton & Hove Albion for center-back Luka Vuskovic.
The 19-year-old defender was acquired by Spurs from his childhood club Hajduk Split for approximately £12 million last July and participated in the club’s pre-season fixtures.
Despite his potential, Vuskovic has yet to make a competitive appearance for Tottenham. He recently enjoyed a successful loan spell at Bundesliga side Hamburger SV during the 2025-26 season, where he netted six goals in 28 league matches.
Currently, Vuskovic is with the Croatia national team preparing for their World Cup opener against England, fueling speculation regarding his future at the club.
Hamburger SV did not include an option to buy in their loan agreement, meaning Vuskovic is set to return to Tottenham unless Brighton or another interested party can negotiate a deal.

Brighton Submits £30m Offer Amid Competition from Other Clubs
According to The Athletic, Brighton’s bid of £30 million for Vuskovic comes amid interest from several leading clubs across Europe.
Vuskovic reportedly has aspirations of joining Brighton, where he believes he would receive ample playing time and further his career development. The defender is familiar with Brighton head coach Fabian Hurzeler and recognizes the club as an excellent environment for nurturing young talent.
This inclination towards Brighton may concern Spurs, who had earmarked Vuskovic as a key player for their future plans.
Brighton’s pursuit of Vuskovic coincides with Tottenham’s ongoing efforts to secure Seagulls center-back Jan Paul van Hecke, despite having two previous bids rejected for the Dutch player.

A Move to Brighton Could Benefit All Parties
With Spurs captain Cristian Romero expected to depart this summer and uncertainty surrounding Radu Dragusin—who is rumored to be returning to Serie A—Tottenham could find themselves needing to reshape their defense.
If both players leave, Spurs would still have three center-back options including new signing Marcos Senesi, who joined on a free transfer from Bournemouth. This would create competition with Micky Van de Ven and Kevin Danso.
Vuskovic seeks regular first-team football, and competing against three or potentially four center-backs would not be ideal for his development. Selling him at a reasonable price could allow Tottenham to reinvest in other transfer targets while providing Vuskovic with an opportunity at a Brighton side aiming for Conference League football next season.
